Mobile library

Department of mobile services was founded by a separation of mobile libraries in 2009. Currently ensures the operation of two bibliobuses, which go to 19 stations throughout Prague. Mobile libraries operate mainly in the outskirts of Prague, in a densely populated areas without a permanent local library or our branch . Bibliobuses go into each station once in 14 days.

New service:

• Bibliobus Oskar

Since March 2013 is in operation bibliobus Oskar, which goes to the schools, kindergartens, senior homes and other places, where large bibliobuses can´t drive. Do not have stabile a timetable, but offers its services to institutions and at various cultural events. In case of further interest watch project site Knihy v pohybu czech)

• Exchangeable library collection

In order to ensure regional methodological service the department of mobile library takes care of the exchangeable collection that is prepared to exchange files of the local public library. (only czech)

• Exchangeable collections of the spoken word

The Exchangeable collections of the spoken word on CDs has been established in 2010. The collection was partly taken from grants from the Ministry of Culture. The files circulate in 23 our smaller branches and bibliobuses.
